3/28/06 We are all settling into San Antonio and adjusting to the Texas way of life. Dad is enjoying his new job at North Central Baptist Hospital and Mom has been working on getting the new house finished. It looks like we may be moving into our first home at the beginning of May.
Miles continues to grow and is officially a toddler. He pulls himself up on everything and will be walking in no time. Miles loves to eat whatever the grown ups have and is dying to talk . He will also be expecting a little baby sister in August! We are all so excited and look forward to our growing family (although Mom needs a rest after this pregnancy). We are gearing up for a hot Texas summer and hope that all our friends and family will come visit us down south soon!

6/16/06 All is well on the home front and we are anxiously awaiting Ella's arrival the first part of August! For now we are having fun with house projects, getting the nursery ready and trying to get used to the 100 degree Texas heat. We absolutely love our new home and are slowly working on furnishing the place.
Miles is 13 months old now and walking on is own. He is such a sweet and happy little boy. Everyday Miles kisses Momma's belly and likes to play in Ella's bassinet. He is going to be the best big brother to his little sister and teach her how to chase the dogs around the house like he does. We look forward to having everyone visit soon and meet the newest addition to our family....baby Ella!

12/19/06 What an exciting year it has been for our family! We are so blessed with two healthy children, a beautiful new house, a wonderful marriage and John is loving his job! We are also really enjoying Miles experience of the Holiday season...now that he is 19 months old, he is curious why we have a big tree with lights in our living room. He also likes the Christmas music we play in the house all day long, the decorated houses in the neighborhood and most of all the presents under the tree wrapped in Elmo paper.
And Little Miss Ella is the sweetest most loving little girl who is up for anything. She mostly likes to watch her brother run around the house and is growing into a little princess in front of our very eyes! The kids are changing so much everyday and I am so happy about the love they already seem to have for each other. We look forward to another year full of happiness, good health, dirty diapers and Mom finally not being pregnant! (that alone is a Christmas miracle) . Happy Holidays to all of our friends and family and we hope you come visit us in 2007!

3/28/07 The Marcum family is doing well ......Happy, healthy and full of change! The kids are changing by the day and it is so fun to watch them discover new things about the world ! Miles is coming up on his 2nd birthday May 6th and Ella is now 7 months old. Ella is becoming very active in rolling around on the floor, and loving to eat her oatmeal. She is also beginning to say things like "vavava, dadad, babababab" and sit up well on her own with some assistance. Ella is definitely ready to start crawling soon and at times she seems to have the desire to get up and run after her brother. Ella loves Miles so much and will sit and watch him do anything for hours. She is a very sweet, easy going baby who is happy and smiling all the time!
Miles has been such a good brother to Ella the last few months. He loves to hold her and gets so excited to see Ella in the morning. He also will go get Ella a toy when she is crying and hand it to her and says "LaLa....LaLa," to calm her down. The kids' new favorite evening activity is a ride together in their little red wagon. Miles likes to point out all the birds, airplanes and dogs in the neighborhood and then alerts Ella about them. Miles is also doing really well in his school he attends two days a week. He loves the art projects they do, his music class, playing with a cute little girl named Elizabeth and holding the Hedgehog the teacher brought to the classroom this week. Miles has become such a little man and is a very strong willed and passionate boy about everything he does. He likes to play with a toy until he masters it and also wants to know how everything works. I think he has his Dad's personality and desire to fix things. Each day Miles is saying more words and is very expressive in telling you about his day and or what he wants! He is such a sweet, sensitive boy who is growing and changing so much! We look forward to every new adventure and challenge with each child every day!
